Fig. 15.59. Arrangement of components of management of external rear-view mirrors: 1 – the electric motors located in cases of mirrors; 2 – the ECU block located from the forward passenger; 3 – ignition lock; 4 – switch of adjustment of provision of external mirrors; 5 – the block of safety locks from the driver
For adjustment of provision of each external rear-view mirror 2 electric motors are used: one for adjustment in vertical, the second — in horizontal the planes (
The switch has the selector which gives tension on the right or left mirror.
You make check of the drive of external rear-view mirrors as follows.
Include ignition, without launching the engine. Lower windshields and serially turn mirrors in the vertical and horizontal planes, listening to a sound of the working engines.
If the engine works, and the mirror does not move, perhaps, the mirror drive mechanism is faulty. Remove and sort a mirror for definition of a cause of defect.
If mirrors do not move and is not heard operation of engines, check integrity of a safety lock.
If the safety lock is serviceable, remove the switch from the dashboard and check its state.
According to electric circuits check reliability of connection of wires of the mirrors connected to "weight".
If the mirror still does not work, remove it and check giving of tension to a mirror.
If there is no tension even in one position of the switch, check an electric chain between a mirror and the switch.
If tension is present at all working provisions of the switch, remove a mirror and check operability of electric motors, connecting them additional wires to the rechargeable battery. If engines do not work, replace a mirror.
