Remove a wheel drive shaft.
Through wooden whetstones clamp a drive shaft in a vice.
Check a radial side play of the CV JOINT which indicates wear of details of the hinge. Check smoothness of the course on the full range of the movement for each CV JOINT. If the protective cover was torn, remove the CV JOINT, sort, clear and check it for absence of damage because of loss of lubricant and possible pollution by foreign particles.
The small screw-driver release clips, weaken collars of fastening of a protective cover and shift them on a shaft.

Edge of the screw-driver hook and shift an outer edge of a cover from the internal CV JOINT. If the protective cover is torn, cut off it. Remove an inner edge of a cover and shift it from the CV JOINT like "трипоид" (fig. 10.5) . Tripoid represents the trekhplechy hinge on which each shoulder the roller from the tempered steel is fixed.
Mark with paint or a marker the mutual provision of a shaft of the drive and a tripoid.

The special tool remove the spring lock ring fixing трипоид on a shaft (fig. 10.6) .

The hammer through a brass drift bring down трипоид from a drive shaft, at the same time be careful not to damage vents of a shaft and rollers of a tripoid (fig. 10.7) .
If work is performed on right driving to a shaft, note an arrangement of the balance weight and remove it. For removal of the balance weight, perhaps, it is necessary to use a press.
