       PREVENTIONS
Cars are equipped with security systems (SRS) including safety cushions and natyazhitel of seat belts. Before work about sensors of blow, the dashboard and a steering column disconnect at first negative, and then positive plugs from the rechargeable battery and wait about two minutes. It will exclude unauthorized disclosure of safety cushions and operation of natyazhitel of seat belts which can cause a trauma.

The system of blocking of the lever of the selector and lock of ignition interferes with movement of the lever of the selector from provisions "P" and "N" if the pedal of a brake (fig. 9.25, ) is not pressed 9.26, 9.27 . It is also impossible to take a key from the ignition lock if the lever of the selector is not installed in a starting position.
Check of the solenoid of blocking of a key in the ignition lock
Remove a casing of a steering column.
Disconnect the electric socket from the solenoid of blocking of a key in the ignition lock.
Measure by an ohmmeter the solenoid winding resistance which has to be within 12,5–16,5 Ohms.
Using additional wires, for a short time give tension of the rechargeable battery to contacts of a winding of the solenoid, at the same time it has to make the clicking sound. Do not give tension a long time as the solenoid can be damaged.
If any of checks did not yield positive results, replace the solenoid.
Check of the solenoid of blocking of the lever of the selector on models of release of 1996 and 1997
Remove the central console.
Disconnect the electric socket from the solenoid of blocking of the lever of the selector.
Measure by an ohmmeter the solenoid winding resistance which has to be within 26–33 Ohms.
Using additional wires, for a short time give tension of the rechargeable battery to contacts of a winding of the solenoid, at the same time it has to make the clicking sound. Do not give tension a long time as the solenoid can be damaged
If any of checks did not yield positive results, replace the solenoid.

Disconnect the electric socket from the switch and measure by an ohmmeter resistance between contacts in each position of the lever of the selector (rice 9.28) . Conditions of the switch are given in table 9.4 .
If resistance between contacts does not conform to requirements, then replace the switch.
Control unit of system of blocking
If above-mentioned components are serviceable, and the system of blocking does not work properly probably the control unit of system of blocking is faulty, and it needs to be replaced. However before replacement of the block check electric chains between components of system of blocking for lack of breaks and short circuits.
