The procedures of diagnostics and tests given below belong only to the Toyota RAV4 cars equipped with system of injection the Toyota TCCS with dynamic ignition.
Electric characteristics of elements of this electronic system of injection of fuel and system of ignition were received by means of the universal measuring device to which specific automobile functions, such as the rotation frequency sensor, fuel injection time, the oxygen sensor, etc. were integrated.
Before performing diagnostics surely check:
– system of launch of the engine (rechargeable battery, starter and wires);
– quality and availability of fuel in the fuel tank;
– system of recirculation of the fulfilled gases;
– a power supply system air (tightness of branch pipes, laying and various connecting details), the air filter and the thermostat in the filter case;
– an accelerator cable on lack of the slowed-down reset and completeness of opening of a butterfly valve;
– system of ventilation of crankcase gases;
– tightness of fuel system;
– compression and condition of the engine;
– spark plugs;
– safety lock of electronic system of injection of fuel and system of ignition.
The procedure of diagnostics has to begin with the analysis of malfunctions (symptoms).

Contacts of electric sockets are designated by figure with a letter, for example, contact 1A — contact No. 1 of the electric socket A (fig. 5.23) .
Check of electric food of electronic system of injection
All tests of check of electric food of electronic system of injection of fuel and system of ignition have to be carried out at the connected sockets, except for the socket of the control unit of the engine. Tests of check are provided in tab. 5.2.
Check of electric resistance of sensors
All tests of check of electric resistance of sensors have to be carried out on sockets of the control unit of the engine. Tests are provided in tab. 5.3.
Check of electric power supply of sensors
All tests of an inspection of electric power supply of sensors have to be carried out on the socket of the control unit of the engine. Tests are provided in tab. 5.4.
Check of elements of a fuel supply system
Check of elements of a fuel supply system is given in tab. 5.5
Check of the general electric food of electronic system of injection of fuel
All tests of check of the general electric food of electronic system of injection of fuel have to be carried out at the connected sockets, except for the socket of the control unit of the engine. Tests are provided in tab. 5.6.
